Accommodation at Nxamaseri Island Lodge

Nxamaseri Island lodge is built on an island chosen for its exquisite beauty and breathtaking location. The lodge accommodates 12 guests in 6 double chalets and, being owner-run, prides itself in creating an experience that is personal and intimate. Each thatched, en-suite chalet is secluded beneath a canopy of indigenous trees and is linked to the main area by teak walkways. Each has its own private balcony overlooking the permanent waters of the Nxamaseri channel where guests can relax and watch the otters and water birds frolic and feed close by. The main area of the lodge has a comfortable and classic feel and affords exceptional vistas over the wetlands, making every day in camp a pleasurable, memorable experience.To ensure an intimate and personal experience Nxamaseri Island lodge accommodates a maximum of 12 guests in six en-suite chalets. Each thatched chalet is secluded in its own glade of indigenous forest and has its own private deck with a view of the river. The focus is on attention to detail, expressed in the décor and catering. The lodge and our staff members have close ties to the sacred Tsodilo Hills and our aim is to create a truly unique African experience by drawing on the San cultural influences so prevalent in the surrounding communities. The main lodge is adorned with handcrafted furniture made by local artisans, showcasing the true and unusual beauty of Africa.Each of the six luxury thatched en-suite chalets is tucked away under a thick canopy of indigenous trees, and each has a private deck with a view of the river. Teak walkways link these chalets to the main lodge. The rooms and main area are adorned with original artwork and each chalet has its own distinct décor and style. The chalets all have electric lights, but charging of camera batteries and use of other electrical appliances is restricted to the main area. The rooms have large, classic-style double beds and have space for an extra single bed if required by families.
